Kossuth Foundation of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America

The Kossuth Foundation of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Hungarian culture, language, and heritage in Washington, DC and across America. Established in 2011 as the successor to the historic Hungarian Reformed Federation of America—an organization with roots dating back to 1896 with a charter signed by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906—the Foundation carries forward a legacy of cultural stewardship and community engagement.

The organization offers comprehensive Hungarian language education programs tailored for adult learners, currently providing instruction at 11 different proficiency levels designed to meet the diverse needs of student groups. Beyond language instruction, the Foundation maintains the Kossuth House as a cultural hub in Washington, DC, serving as a venue for events, cultural programming, and community gatherings that celebrate Hungarian traditions and foster appreciation for Hungarian-American heritage.
